Mitchell F Wilson, Pastor
 |
|
I want to thank you for visiting our
website.
As a new Pastor here at Centenary, I am excited about all the
possibilities God has in store for us. As you navigate this place,
I believe you will see a church committed to sharing the love of
Jesus Christ.
Centenary is a church with a heart for her community and the larger
world. From ministries to our youngest and to the oldest, we are
committed to making new disciples. It is our goal to reach souls
for the kingdom of God and to touch our community with God's love.
If you desire to be a part of a family that reaches out and is
making a difference, Centenary is your kind of place.
Come and be a part of our family.
Grace and Peace,
Pastor Mitch |

Melissa Burris, Director of
Music |
 |
Melissa Burris is a native Tarheel from Winston-Salem who
graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1987. Shes lived in
Greensboro since 1990, working as a banker before starting a
family with her husband, Lee. Melissa is Choral Director
and Accompanist of the Triad Tapestry Childrens Chorus and
has been with the group since it was founded, in 1993, by
the Piedmont Interfaith Council. Additionally, Melissa
accompanies the Greensboro Community Chorus.
Prior to coming to Centenary in 2010, Melissa was the
organist and choir director at Faith Presbyterian Church in
Greensboro, where she served from 2001-2010. Her love of
music goes back to when she began playing piano at the age
of three and regularly sat beside her church organist as he
played the postlude each Sunday. |

When not at work, she takes care of her family (including
sons, Alex and Jack, and daughter, Abby), and their many animals, and
drives to and from many
sports practices and play rehearsals. Melissas husband, Lee, is a
commercial lender for American National bank. He enjoys golf,
patiently tolerates the many pets, and stays very busy with the kids
as well. The whole family is glad to be at Centenary and looks
forward to many years of growing together in Gods love. |
